In the statement issued by the SJFA General Secretary John Reilly on Friday, he indicated that "further details on the Leagues will be issued as soon as possible".
Both the Highland League and Lowland League have now awarded the titles to clubs based on a points-per-game basis. Will the SJFA follow suit? If so, it is going to be interesting in the East Region Superleague South.
Based on this method, the final league placings would look like this:
Pumpherston - 1.94
Thornton Hibs - 1.94
Fauldhouse United - 1.87
Armadale Thistle - 1.82
Livingston United - 1.80
Whitburn - 1.68
Bathgate Thistle - 1.21
Harthill Royal - 0.82
Kennoway Star Hearts - 0.68
Lochore Welfare - 0.50
Pumpherston are 1.9444 and the Hibs are 1.9375. The question is, how many decimal points would the decision makers use to decide the "champions"?
In potentially our last ever season as a Junior club, will the Hibs be denied a title by 0.0069 points? Or will head-to-head or goal difference be used to split the teams?
We await the outcome....
