The Hibs are back on league business this weekend after progressing to the third round of the Scottish Junior Cup last Saturday.
Visitors are Harthill Royal and this will be the very first league meeting between the sides. Indeed, since Harthill's formation in 1992, the clubs have only met once before in a competitive fixture. That was at Gibbshill Park in the first round of the Fife and Lothians Cup during season 2002/03. Thornton won 2-1.
We did face them at Memorial Park in a pre-season friendly in July last year, with the game ending all-square at 2-2. Chris Marshall gave the visitors the lead in the 22nd minute, with Stuart Drummond equalising from the spot three minutes before the interval after Liam Baillie brought down Chris Ireland. Craig Johnston put Harthill back in front in the 82nd minute, but with three minutes remaining, Shaun Keatings levelled affairs.
Chris Ireland has completed his suspension and gives the management team a further selection headache after Adam Drummond and Garry Thomson jnr just missed out last week.
