This Saturday sees a break from league duty when Livingston United are the visitors in the East Region Cup. Having also drawn them in the Fife and Lothians Cup, this will be the second of at least five meetings between the sides this season.
Livingston took all three points from the league meeting in Memorial Park seventeen days ago, so the Hibs know they are in for another tough afternoon.
We met at the same stage of the competition last season at Station Park and the home side won 3-1. In the game, where Jimmy Shields dislocated his shoulder in the first minute, Livingston opened the scoring in the 37th minute through Kieran McGurk. Stuart Drummond equalised in the 59th minute but Bryan Jaconelli got his side back in front from the penalty spot before jason Gregory completed the scoring in the 82nd minute.
Missing from the Hibs' line-up will be leading scorer Ben Anthony who is serving the first of a two-match ban following his red card last Saturday.
